We probably all know somebody who has made changes in their lives. Perhaps they were able to overcome some sort of personal difficulty and they did so in a way that inspired all of us to greater things.

We don’t need to personally know the individual who made these changes in order to be inspired. For example, most people have never met Mayra Lisbeth Rosales in person, but she has a story that is inspiring many to do great things.

Myra’s transformation is so unique because she was considered to be the most obese woman on the planet at the time. She had gone through a lot, and was suffering on the inside and the outside but something happened that changed her viewpoint on life in general.

Her sister had harmed her own child and eventually, the child behind. That is when Myra knew that she needed to provide support for her sister’s children. She couldn’t do it at her current weight, so she started a weight loss journey.

All in all, Biro had gone through some 11 surgeries that included work from doctors and firefighters. These operations use specialized equipment to get her from the bed to the hospital and even after she lost weight, she still was challenged with the extra skin.

In addition, because she was bedridden for so long, her muscles had deteriorated significantly. They even deteriorated further, as did her skin when she lost so much weight.

Eventually, Myra was able to lose about 880 pounds. It was an 80% reduction of her overall weight and as a result, her quality of life is significantly enhanced. She also has more confidence in herself as a result of the changes.

You never know what somebody is capable of doing until they really put their mind to it. This is a story that shows us how, despite the challenging situations we are facing, we have options that are right in front of us.
